We realize that Martha Stewart weddings or beach weddings, even outdoor weddings can be a bride’s dream, but budgets don’t always play nice with wedding packages or wedding photo albums. That being said, here are some frequently asked questions couples (preparing to tie the knot) should ask their wedding photographer or wedding videographer when discussing wedding photography costs.
Answer: This will depend on your provider. INterFace MEdia Studios uses the most recent and state of the art professional photography and video equipment. Depending on the wedding photography packages selected, we will use either High Definition or Standard definition 3 CCD video cameras.
Answer: Backup cameras and equipment of equal quality for both wedding photography and wedding videos are essential for your wedding day. A professional wedding photographer or wedding videographer will not make excuses about equipment failures.
Answer: The best answer if your budget permits is more than one. Whether we utilize one or two photographers is generally up to our client, however, the majority of our wedding photography packages involve 2 shooters. We have 2 primary wedding photographers, and 3 primary videographers. We also have 2 full-time 2nd photography shooters (also referred to as snipers), and 3 full-time 2nd video shooters. It is also important to note, that we have 2 backup photographers, and 2 backup videographers. All of our clients get the chance to meet with the photographer / videographer that will be shooting their wedding. Our clients also have the opportunity to view the work of their photographer/videographer. The 2nd shooters responsibility is to capture candid moments taking place in areas the primary shooter is not.
Answer: Our style of wedding photography is contemporary and candid. In other words, our goal is to capture a combination “real moments” when they happen, and also to keep the shots looking fresh so that when you see them they look like they came right out of a magazine. Of course in the post production phase we will transform the appropriate photos into either black and white, sepia, or keep looking them looking natural. It all depends on our client, the moment, and design.
Answer: A Same-day Video-Edit is an on location short wedding film, a condensed yet edited version of your wedding video for you and your guests at the reception. It looks and sounds like a polished edit, and will surely impress your guests! This process does require having our editor with us the duration of the day and evening. It is offered as an option on our Wedding Video Packages.
Answer: Not all wedding photographer services abide by the same rules. Our answer is a definite and emphatic “yes”. We can and do sometimes work with other videographers, and or photographers from other companies. We understand that wedding photography and wedding videos are very subjective and we will work with all involved accordingly.
Answer: A digital, coffee table book, flush album, or designer album, is as common as a traditional wedding photo album. Our wedding photography services include photo albums designed “in-house”, which can include digital coffee table books, as well as traditional wedding photo albums.
Answer: Not all wedding videos are created equal. Depending on the client, and professional used, this number can vary. The average length of INterFace MEdia wedding videos is 60 minutes edited.
Answer: The raw footage is “ALL” the video that was taken the day of the wedding. INterFace MEdia Studios will include it in most wedding videography packages.
Answer: You do not want to limit opportunities to capture this special day. INterFace MEdia Studios will shoot on average between 800-1200 pictures.
Answer: Not all wedding photographers will include this option. INterFace MEdia Studios encourages this option when selecting a wedding photography package, by making them available on CD in low resolution or on DVD(s) at high resolution.
Answer: If the answer is no, run away. Not everyone wants the same things when it comes to wedding photography. You should be able to customize your wedding photography package to best suits your needs.
Answer: This can take anywhere from 4 weeks, to 4 months. Be sure to provide the professional with any requests promptly. Montreal Wedding Season also plays into this estimate.
Answer: Once you have been presented with different options, you may notice that the more services your purchase the larger your overall discount. INterFace MEdia Studios will be happy to make this process easy to combine wedding packages and will gladly offer you a discount.
